Senior Tax Manager - Grande Prairie (755)
Responsibilities of this position include:
• Leading small and medium sized client engagements for tax related activities for both domestic and international tax matters
• Work closely with a tax partner as a senior team member on tax planning for our clients
• Coaching, managing and mentoring Junior Tax Staff for the preparation of tax returns, conducting and presentation of tax research
• Developing and implementing strategies for clients to capitalize on business opportunities
• Ability to specialize in different areas of tax as needed
The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
• University degree in business or accounting
• CA, CGA or CMA designation
• Completion of the CICA In Depth Tax Course (Levels I, II).
• At least five years' experience in public accounting with a specialization in tax for a minimum of 2-3 years
• Strong understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate tax compliance & planning
